About Us

Providing a unified voice for practitioners.

The National Stem Cell Association is the first and only association in the United States for professionals actually providing multiple forms of safe and effective stem cell therapies for their patients today – not decades from now.

Who We Are

The NSCA seeks to provide a unified voice for current and future practitioners, while providing the benefits of shared knowledge, experience, and resources, cementing a reputable and positive image for the industry in Washington and with the general public, designed to pay strong dividends for the health of Americans for many generations to come.   As part of this process, the NSCA is creating significant advocacy initiatives to impact current and future legislation in Washington and locally, keeping its members informed and empowered in a way never before available, and giving each member a real stake in the future of the regulations governing their livelihoods.

Our Mission

The National Stem Cell Association was formed for two reasons.

The first evolves from the strong belief of the two founders, Douglas Williamson, President & Chairman of the NSCA, and Randel Ford, President & Chief Operating Officer of National Write Your Congressman, that through the careful application of regenerative medicine and therapies involving human adult stem cells, there is a significant element of the U.S. population that has received and is receiving substantial healing and relief from multiple ailments, diseases and degenerative conditions, many associated with aging, that cannot be otherwise addressed, and certainly not with the degree of non-invasiveness and cost effectiveness represented by stem cell therapy.   Moreover, we strongly believe that the vast majority of stem cell therapies being offered in the U.S. today are safe with an extremely small number of adverse events.

The second reason resides in the fact that the effectiveness and safety of adult stem cell therapy in the U.S. is not common knowledge nor backed with extensive clinical data, and for the most part lacks formal regulatory and FDA approval.   This has brought about a concerted campaign both in the media and from regulatory agencies in Washington, especially the FDA, to eliminate the provision of all stem cell therapies widely offered in the market today.  This represents an existential threat to any doctor or alternative medicine provider who is trying to offer their patients a new alternative for healing and regeneration through stem cell therapy.

The NSCA Solution

To counter this threat, the NSCA was formed to be the first organization to help document and promote the safety of current stem cell therapies being offered in the U.S. today, and to engage in significant advocacy and education in Washington and at the state level, uniting the current providers of stem cell therapy so that they can speak with one voice to legislators and regulators, and to change the general perception of the media and the general public so that the benefits and safety of stem cell therapy become widely known.

It is believed that there are at least 750 – 1,000 doctors and clinics in the U.S. offering some form of stem cell therapy for their patients (a number which continues to grow). If a majority of these providers unite through one organization, it can and will have a powerful impact in Washington and with the FDA.
